The JFKS Parent Newsletter enjoys the support and cooperation of the JFKS community. Its intention is not only to provide information and a monthly events calendar, but also a community forum to inspire school spirit. The Parent Newsletter is pleased to publish articles about individual class activities, sporting, music, drama and other special events. Parent council meeting minutes, articles on issues and events at the school, various school bodies and connected organizations are included. It is generally published on a monthly basis and funded by your donations as well as the Verein of the JFKS.

PUBLISHING POLICY

Please state your connection to the school when submitting anything for the newsletter as we only print private ads and articles from JFKS parents, teachers and students (no commercial ads). Make sure to include your phone number so that we can contact you if a question arises concerning content.

We accept a 6-10 Euro donation per ad and request that the bank transfer be made to the account below before or within the month of publication. The PN depends on donations to cover its costs.
Ads and articles should be submitted through our email address pn@jfksberlin.org and written in Arial/Helvetica font, size 9 print, single spaced, preferably as a Word document if more than a few lines (please no pdf). The Newsletter staff reserves the right to shorten or alter submissions. The Parent Newsletter, the Parent Council and the JFKS Verein are also not responsible for the contents of the submitted ads and articles. We reserve the right to reject a submission. Please understand that we cannot print ads that serve persons not affiliated with our school.  Publication is not limited to print and may appear online.

Over the years we've tried to encourage as many ads and articles to be submitted in both German and English in order to address the entire school community. Since we are conscious of space limitations, however, we leave it to the individual's discretion, and if need be, choose one language due to formatting reasons. We do have a cubby in the HS teachers' lounge if you care to leave us a note.

GRUNDSÄTZE ZUR VERÖFFENTLICHUNG

Bitte geben Sie Ihre Verbindung zur Schule bei der Einreichung einer Annonce oder eines Artikels an, da nur private Artikel und Annoncen von JFKS Eltern, Lehrern und Schülern abdrucken. Bitte haben Sie Verständnis, dass gewerbliche Annoncen und Artikel von schulfremden Personen nicht im Newsletter veröffentlicht werden. Bitte geben Sie Ihre Telefonnummer an, damit wir mit Ihnen, falls nötig, Kontakt aufnehmen können.

Wir begrüßen eine Spende von 6-10,-€ pro Anzeige und bitten um eine Banküberweisung an das u.a. Konto bevor oder innerhalb des Monats der Veröffentlichung. Die PN benötigt Ihre Spenden, um ihre Kosten zu decken.
Veröffentlichungen sind per E-Mail einzureichen an: pn@jfksberlin.org . Alle Artikel, sowie Anzeigen längeren Formats, sollten in Schriftart Arial, in Schriftgröße 9 mit einfachem Zeilenabstand als Word Dokument angefügt werden (bitte keine pdf). Für Rechtschreibfehler sind wir nicht verantwortlich. Wir behalten uns vor das Format zu ändern, oder Artikel zu verkürzen, oder nicht zu veröffentlichen. Die Elternzeitung, die GEV und der JFKS Verein sind nicht verantwortlich für den Inhalt der eingereichten Beiträge. Veröffentlichungen bleiben evtl. nicht aufs Papier beschränkt. Wir behalten uns vor, diese auch online zu veröffentlichen. Wir haben ein Fach im HS-Lehrerzimmer, falls Sie uns eine Nachricht zukommen lassen möchten.

Im Laufe der Jahre haben wir versucht, Artikel und Anzeigen gleichzeitig in englischer und deutscher Sprache zu veröffentlichen, um die gesamte Schulgemeinschaft erreichen zu können. Aus Platzgründen überlassen wir es jedem Autor, seinen Beitrag in einer oder in beiden Sprachen einzureichen; falls nötig behalten wir uns jedoch vor, den Beitrag zweisprachig oder einsprachig zu veröffentlichen.
