Transportation

The John F. Kennedy School serves families from different Berlin districts, depending on age and area they use different means of transportation to get to school:

Walking or biking:

Many of our students walk or ride their bike to school. JFKS provides a large number of bike racks on the school campus.

BVG (Berlin Public Transportation):

Berlin public transportation including bus, subway (U-Bahn) and city train (S-Bahn) is safe and reliable. Many students take it by themselves before and after school. All students in Berlin are eligible to receive a FREE monthly student ticket (FahrCard) which can be obtained by registering online using this BVG website.

School Bus:

Younger children who are not ready yet to use public transportation by themselves or students who live in less accessible areas, have the option to use the private school bus company. Please note, any contract agreed upon for transporting children to and from school remains strictly between the parents and the bus company.
